This is our favorite spot in the area to get a good sandwich or burger. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic. They also have a solid list of beer and cider both on tap and in cans and bottles. We also love that they have the store on site for picking up some local fruits and veggies as well as other goods. I will definitely be back soon!
Friendly and eager staff. Quaint and comfortable atmosphere. The Cider Press impresses with quality food and drinks.... Recommendations:Build your own sweet flight of desserts...The sirloin steak was outstanding...Ask for Emily, outstanding server!
The first thought, once you enter, is how clean the restaurant is and second how nice the employees take care of you. The smoked bacon burger the chef created tasted fresh and used premium ingredients. My burger was cooked perfectly, medium on the patty, and a side order of sweet potatoes fries. The fries will make you come back alone.I overall enjoyed my to go lunch. I will be coming back for dinner to further enjoy the experience. Thank you Cider press for my favorite burger in this area WV.
This place rocks! We went here Friday evening and the food was fantastic. Definitely a cut above what most restaurants deliver. Really good atmosphere in the restaurant along with a speedy waiter. What a wonderful experience.
Your server Abigail was very attentive but not overly hovering. The manager was checking on everyone. He was very nice and came to us to let us know they were making us another Meatloaf he felt the first one was to burnt. We had the Jacked Up Meatloaf which is meat loaf with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce , cole slaw, Sweet Potato fries. It was very good. We also had The Blue Ridge. Whole grilled chicken, Pulled Pork, Hickory Smoked Ham, Smoked Gouda Cheese Sauce. A double side of Mac & Cheese. The food was hot and cooked as it should be. The price was not bad for them food we got. They also started a rewards program. 4 visits you get a free dessert, I think 6 visits is a free appetizer, 8 visits free entree$16.00 limit. We will be going back. Thank you got a great meal. This is another local place we need to support.
Nice Country Farm atmosphere. Fresh Sandwiches, lots of other tasty options. Nice selection of beer. Reasonable prices for good food. Shop in the store at the entrance at the restaurant for fresh pies local Meats and unusual items.
This was such a welcome treat on a three day road trip! Their signature salad was amazing. It was fresh, using local ingredients. Their apple cider vinaigrette was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you want a break from fast food.
I love coming here. They have a nice little farmers market out front. I usually go when i want something light and fresh. I prefer getting the panini with turkey, bacon, and apples. The crab nachos are pretty awesome as well. The one item on the menu that i wouldn't recommend is the brisket.
First time visiting and it was delicious! Our waitress was so attentive, as were all the other waitstaff around. I dropped a knife and another waitress came by with another one without me even asking! Food came out quickly, and the portions were generous. Would definitely recommend. That being said, the chicken was a little dry, but everything else was great!
The food was SO delicious. Would have given 5 stars. I didn't because the waitress and another young lady were busy on the phone. While I was in front of her. I walked up because we couldn't get her attention. The actual table service was great.. Besides that one small incident. I definitely will return and recommend the roast beef sandwich.
Truly a hidden gem here in WV. I honestly did not expect the food I ordered to be as flavorful as it was. And I write this review after having dined there a few times already. Everything tastes fresh, delicious, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend you give them a try.
Service was good, atmosphere was very nice! We started with the crabby crab dip and while the dip was DELICIOUS…the baguettes were cut too thick and were hard as a rock, we both have cuts in the roof of our mouth. The salads were fresh and tasty but again the vegetables were cut in VERY large pieces. Got the Caesar wrap and it was slightly dry and the chicken breast was over cooked and cut in to HUGE pieces, which made it hard to chew. Finished with the apple dumpling and while the flavor was good it was 95% pasty and 5% apple. I will probably go back to try other things as the flavor was good but hoping the chef tries a different approach.
Some will complain about the prices, others will say it's worth every extra penny. That's me. The variety, the fresh ingredients that are locally grown and sourced, plus the overall comfortable environment of sitting in the restaurant make it a great place for you, your family, and anyone else you want to show the best spot in town too! Don't forget to grab some WV honey and a donut or two on your way out.
Great food and service! We were traveling all day, tired and hungry, all our wants were fulfilled at this unique restaurant within a farmer's market. Everyone was friendly and kind to our 7 person group. We will definately stop by again! Perfect end to the day!!
Really nice restaurant with a pretty good menu. Chips and fries looked made in house and were delicious. I took a star because I ordered my burger medium rare, and it came out almost raw. Still ate it, tasted great, but it definitely was closer to raw than medium. Great selection of drinks to choose from too. The staff was very friendly and on their game, I didnt see anyone waiting for refills and what not. I'd go again next time I'm in the area.::Edit:: Bumped it to a 5 star. Scott reached out to make it right within an hour of posting my review. No need, the burger tasted really good, was just not "done" enough for me, but any business that reaches out to make things "right" deserves a plus up. I'll still go here again :)
Tried for the first time. The food was good. Our waitress was good ,very attentive to us. A very nice place to eat. Me and my wife both had the Cuban Panni. Very good. Will be back
One of the best burgers I've had! Loved the store to browse through after the meal. If you are traveling anywhere near here, you need to check them out.
Love there service, Food and atmoshpere..ordered on Door dash a few times and food usually is pretty warm and still as excellent as dining in service.. Love this place!! The market is very cute.. small and quaint but nice and friendly service as well!
Awesome Food Awesome service Awesome people Server Summer is Outstanding in my MK voice. Coming from a veteran great place to chill relax and be fulfilled. Salute
This was a very cool spot. Little farmers market with a bar/grill! Recommend by a friend and it was worth the stop. Food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and laid back. Will definitely be back again! Food was a Cuban panini and "the rocket chicken" with chips pickles and a side of Cole slaw!
The Cider Press is a diamond in the rough of Inwood, WV. Really great place to stop if you're going up and down 81, as it's right off the highway. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. The farm market in front of the restaurant has lots of great fresh produce and good selection of wine, beer, and cider.
This place is close to I-81, just past a bunch of eateries you can find anywhere else in the country. Drive the extra couple feet and park out front and give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. For starters, Brittany my waitress was awesome- very friendly and attentive (she needs a raise)! It was cold and blustery out, so I really needed some good warm food. Looking around while checking the menu: it's very clean and well-lit, the host and waitresses continually checking on guests, music playing but not obnoxious.I ordered the Pretzel Sticks & Creamy Beer Cheese, Cream Crab soup and a Classic Reuben on grilled marbled rye with homemade chips.Everything arrived fast and hot. I mean wait for it to cool before biting into it hot. Beer cheese? Great. Crab soup? AMAZING. Reuben? Awesomeness on awesome bread. Accompanied by homemade potato chips? Yes!My friends, just order it and see for yourself. (I attached pictures too!)And then there's the market store in front that you passed on the way in... get the blueberry cake donuts (imagine an apple cider donut but with blueberry... Yes, it was THAT good!).You're welcome.
Really good food, very nice and farm fresh, iced tea is really good here as well. Most of the waiters/waitresses there are pretty friendly and give good service but we've had a bad apple or two. The farmer's market connected to the restaurant is a nice place to browse while waiting and has a lot of good snacks to buy.
So happy to have a local family-friendly restaurant like this in the area. The burgers and fries here are delicious. The meatloaf and Cuban sandwich are great, too. I so wish they would bring back their fried chicken dinner. Highly recommend you give them a try.
Kelley provided wonderful service and was knowledgeable about the cider press, as it was our first time here. Brisket sandwich was so good & the sweet potato fries were perfect. She made our experience so great we will be back!
Fantastic service! Kelley was very attentive and made our meal much more enjoyable! Food was delicious! Sweet potato fries are a must have with any meal! Definitely will be coming back here soon to try some of the other delectable things on the menu.
This is one of my favorite places in the area because their food is always good and now they serve locally crafted Beers. That’s a plus for me. The burgers ? are great. The service is top notch and I hear it’s under new management. You should give them a try. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Really nice beer selection, including some fantastic WV selections from Abolitionist (Alpha Mayle), Big Timber (green can IPA), and Greenbrier Valley (Devil Anse), among many others. Burgers are awesome. Best part - the staff. The GM took the time to chat with us and our server (Brittney, I think) was great. Overall a great experience. Please help keep our local businesses afloat if you can!
I've both eaten here in person and ordered delivery several times. This is one of my favorite places to go to when traveling here for work. The food is fantastic and it's great supporting a local business. The salads are especially good! What was missing for me was utensils when I order delivery. This wouldn't be an issue if I had a house here, but I'm in a hotel and this isn't an easy fix.
Very disappointed. I have been here several times and normally food is tasty and fresh. I ordered today a side house salad and apple dumplings. Well the salad looked brown and did not taste fresh. The apple dumplings was to have chips along with vanilla ice cream and I received neither. The apple dumplings itself was extremely hard and just overall not good.
They have great servers, everything is clean and food is fantastic. When you leave you can grab a cup of Black Dog coffee and some fresh veggies and cider.
This place is great! We got sandwiches to go and they were some of the best sandwiches, ever! Lots of other stuff too. Strawberry bread, local fruit, etc.
Ordered a burger with fries from door dash. Was delivered quickly and it was absolutely delicious, cooked to a perfect pink medium, juicy and the fries were pretty tasty.
I had a really good time here. The food was good, i got a burger that was cooked properly at medium and was very juicy. The fries were OK nothing out of this world but I would say above average. I had a single drink which was a blackberry ale of some type but tasted like alcoholic cranberry juice. I would recommend going here. The staff was top notch too.
This is a cute little place. Our waitress was attentive and kind. All the employees wore the appropriate masks and made sure everything was sanitized. I enjoyed the unique sandwich choices and I liked the layout of the menu. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be returning.
The long table we were jammed into had people all around us. One woman behind me was telling us she had the stomach virus all day. Seating way too close. When the restaurant first opened, the food and menu was better. I loved the nachos app they offered prior. I am impressed they use locally sourced products. The family that owns the restaurant are great people, we try to support them. I hope they change menu selections and seating arrangement.Servers have been very friendly and great.
As always the food was amazing and the service was great. Got to sample some local honey and enjoyed seeing all the local products the market has to offer. 10/10 would recommend this place and visit again.
This is a great little find. Anyone passing through wanting something fresh, farm to table look no further. Great food, local beers and wine. Great atmosphere.
We love this hometown gem, fresh food, generous portions and attached to a farmers market. Check out the desserts and don't worry if you're too full you can take a whole one home! Don't miss this special place just off the I-81
Slow service. Ordered nachos and cheese, it took a long time to come out. Once they came out it was nachos warmed up in the microwave with shredded cheese melted on top in certain areas and the nachos were soggy. When our meals finally came out I had a hair on my French fries, the top part of my bun was hard and the bottom part was soggy. My son had a hair in his mouth from his French fries. My husband had a gnat land on his plate. Bad service. Bad food. Would not reccomend this restaurant to anyone. Will not be returning.
After years of driving past we stopped to check it out. Wow! The food is amazing! I had the Southwest wrap and some crab dip. Amazing! I'm ready to go again! The price was great too.
Great food, large portions so you have leftovers, good service. The desserts were good but didn't have that WOW sensation to my taste buds. We will definitely go back.
They have pretty decent food that is not way too expensive. They have some out of the ordinary beers on tap that my wife and I enjoyed. The shop they have when you first walk in is enjoyable to go through. They have produce, bulk food, canned goods, a wine and beer area, and a few souvenirs. The Cider Press has definitely become a date night restaurant for myself and my wife when we have a chance.
They confused a cheese steak order for a chicken cheese steak. Not what I had in mind. Noone came back to check on us. We asked that the owner /manager contact us. Never happened. No adjustment to the bill. Disappointed. Have eaten lunch there numerous times before but will find new eatery.
This was added onto Taylor’s Farm Market. I always look around the store either before or after my meal and never leave empty-handed. At the CiderPress, the food is locally sourced and many are local favorites. I always take visiting family and friends who live out-of-town here. Service is always fast and the atmosphere is casual.
Great food at great prices. Lovely little grill in Inwood with a down country feel. My waitress was an absolute delight. Will definitely keep this place in mind when I'm thinking about a good diner.
Service was super, super slow. They were out of several items, including ice! Waitress was nice and food was very tasty, hot and fresh (once we received it)!
Nice atmosphere, great fresh food made with local produce and knowledgeable friendly staff. Salads are always my go to when we come here....those allow more room for their amazing deserts. Love the country store here....so many unique choices on freaf produce, local and uniques wines!
My girlfriend and I like this restaurant; however, if you dine in after 8 pm, they will rush you out the door. The waitress brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert, and since they close at 9 pm, she asked us if we were ready to leave while we still had half a meal on our plate. The meal cost us $69.00 with a $20.00 tip.The waitress was inexperienced and relatively new. The management doesn't train their staff well.
We stopped here in a whim for breakfast and I'm so glad we did. The food was really fantastic. We've had a hard time finding a weekend breakfast place that did all the things we like well but they really nailed it here. We tried the sausage gravy over biscuits and the chipped beef gravy over toast both were very good. My wife wanted to order servings of the home fries and the bacon was don't perfectly. We just found our new weekend spot!
The Cider Press is the best restaurant in Inwood in my opinion. The food is always fresh and delicious and you get a lot for what you pay for. The staff is small but friendly and attentive. The environment is very nice too.
When a place has so little business on a Saturday night, you should know the quality just isn't there. I ordered the fried chicken dinner meal after eating a small and over salted and half burnt piece of chicken I let the waitress know it was sub par. She did bring a new piece but the meal was all skin and barely any meat. It took 20 minutes for a manager to finally agree to remove the item from my meal and the waitress didn't even bother to come back to the table. Many servers just standing around and a total lack of hospitality. I definitely won't be back. If your looking for good fried chicken, Royal farms is the place not here.
Food tastes really good, they don't use quality ingredients though. It seems that they use cheaper options as ingredients to help their bottom line. They should use fresh ingredients.
This is a solid four. Good food, great service. We had two different types of chili, one their everyday chili and the second a daily special, southwest chicken. The regular was good, the special very good. We both got the Cuban panini and it was very good. A nice overall experience.
Went for the farmers' breakfast last Saturday. Good food and friendly folks. They also have a store in front with lots of local products. I'll be back soon, maybe try their barbecue night one Wednesday evening.
I can't tell you how privileged I feel to live so close to a restaurant that serves such fresh & delicious food. Everything I've had here is amazing, but my favorite is the fried fish they have on Fridays. I also love their desserts---if they ever have that lemon raspberry tart again, grab it! Before I do!
So, so, soooo good! Definitely coming back. Great selection of beers as well. Dining area is a little noisy but the food is so good it'll hardly dampen your experience. Highly recommend!
This place is absolutely wonderful! Have been here for my 3rd time now and every single time I leave happy and satisfied. The food is delicious and very affordable. Lots of different options to choose from and everything is locally grown and made. The selection of adult beverages are very unique and delicious also and all of them are local as well. The employees are very nice and kind. The interior is very beautiful and feels very country cozy with a touch of modern. Plus when you get done with your meal you can have a look around the market and it's wonderful as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who visits the Inwood area to try this place. Can't wait to visit again myself.
Have been there many times and taken family & friends. Always a pleasure. Good food and good drinks. Reasonable prices. Before or after fun to walk around farmers market
Awesome food, Awesome service and Awesome people! We will definitely be back the next chance we get. Thanks again for such a great experience and all you do for the community!
Great food, atmosphere, and service. I've had a little bit of everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal. By far the best menu item are the smoker fries, whoever thought about putting pulled pork over cheese fries is a genius. I love going to eat here, it's a family owned business that pleases every meal.
Nice little restaurant. Food was good, decent selection of drinks, etc.. Service was friendly. We got in a little late, about 7:20 or so, and they close at 8, so we did get a little rushed (dessert brought out before we had finished or meals). It is easy to find and confidently located, too, so that's a bonus. The little store in front of the restaurant has some nice stuff, too: honeys, wines, etc..
Another enjoyable dining experience. We were greeted promptly. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She checked on us multiple times. The food was delicious. I had the Farmer's Daughter's Cobb salad with grilled chicken. So good! We eat there at least three times a month.
What can I say? Simply a truly wonderful meal and a great end to a vacation, thank you cider press deli and grill. If you find yourself in the area and want quality fresh food well prepared and excilent service stop in for a bite. I will be back again!
Mike the cashier at taylors farm market cashed me out. Had excellent customer service and was extremely polite 10/10 customer service. Tried calling but it was a few minutes after there normal business hours.
